“LIFESTYLE”  PROGRAM HOSTED BY LEIGH DREW WILL HAVE A VISIT FROM TROY CASSAR-DALEY FRIDAY 29TH JANUARY 11AM TO CASEY RADIO 97.7FM.

TROY WILL BE PLAYING ON AIR HIS LATEST HIT – I LOVE THIS PLACE

When Troy Cassar-Daley came up with the title for his new album, I Love This Place, he was thinking more about a state of mind than any place you can find on a map.
“I really wanted people to see just how happy you could be in one particular stage of your life,” Cassar-Daley says. “More people should just pull up and smell the roses sometimes.”
After six studio albums, 14 Golden Guitars, three ARIAs, countless tours across our wide, brown land and two stints on the top-rating Channel 7 show It Takes Two, Cassar-Daley has good reason to be content and wants to share that positivity. Rather than dwelling on the tough times of life , a point reinforced on a recent trip to Whittlesea to play for some of those affected by the recent Victorian bushfires, Cassar-Daley wants to let people know there are good days ahead too.

I Love This Place features an array of fine co -writers including Don Walker, Colin Buchanan, the McClymonts and Brisbane-based singer songwriter Mark Sholtez, but songs are unmistakably Troy.

Our next series (4th) of Country Crossroads goes to air on 26 Nov 09 on the Foxtel, Optus & Austar networks Aurora Community Ch 183.

The series will once again showcase Australia’s great Independent country music talent from our up & comers to our Pioneer performers, alongside a number of international Independent artists, who join the show having seen great benefit in being profiled in our part of the world.

Country Crossroads radio show can be heard every Wed evening from 10pm till midnight on Casey Radio with Jen & Rob and is very much an audience driven show with listeners able to call in with requests, share greetings of all sorts and know they have a friend to talk to as is the case with so many of the shows supporters. Add to this great Australian music which dominates the 2 hours, interviews, news and a lot of friendly engaging banter from Jen & Rob. The show has been on air now for approximately 18 months and is considered a privilege to broadcast by them. Being able to promote artists from our locally produced TV show and give something back to the station at the same time with successful sponsorship and membership drives has been very satisfying says Rob. It was one of the first things on the agenda for us when given the Wednesday night spot - What could we give back to Casey Radio?

Rob & Jen have also featured in a number of the stations CSA's & Sponsorship announcements which they gladly oblige in volunteering to do. They do this professionally as part of the Country Crossroads production team and have also had work aired on commercial radio. Rob is also a producer, singer songwriter, arranger and performer with over 30 years experience. Their music is also frequently requested by listeners to the station.

Other Casey Radio presenters who are included in the TV shows list of credits include Roger Lloyd, Adrian Morton and young Bryce Eishold who all are great promoters of Australian artists and their music

Anyone interested in finding out more about the show can contact Rob on 0418 304 625 or go to the website at www.countrycrossroads.com.au
